Abstract:   (83 Views)
Introduction: The basin is well defind by khazar sea to the north, Alborz Mountain range to south, Tonekabon basin to the east & Chaboksar basin to the west.  The aim is of recognizing the capabilities of Ramsar coastal basin and its useful uses and use environmental management tools in the development plan and damage reduction, according to the mentioned parameters, zoning can be achieved.
Materials & Methods: The Ramsar coastal basin is a part of Iran Topo Maps No (6063 I, 6063 II, 6163 I, 6163 II, 6163 III, 6163 IV) Lies between latitudinal of 50º 23' to 50º   50' N and longitudinal of 36º 36' to 36º 56' E with 912.70 Kmarea. The investigation is carried out base on quantitive analysis of fallowing parameters: The Number if segments (Nu), Length of the basin (Lb), Area (Au), stream Length (L), Circularity Ratio (Rc), Elonagation Ratio (Re), Leminscate (K), Density (D), Frequency (F), Texture (T), Texture Ratio (Tu), Dissection Index (D), Relative Relief (RR), Relief Ratio (Rh) Ruggedness number (Rn), and Gradient (G). In this research, the effective factors on topography, land use are being investigated, are as follows. Re, Rc, K, Ff, D, DI, Rn, RR, T, G, Rh. Regarding the necessities of development, the suitable areas have been determined for future development and in the areas in which development has not been. Based on sustainable development has been identified. Hydrological factors affecting zoning include (F, D, T), geometric factors (Re, Rc, Ff, K), topographic factors (G, DI, RR, Rh) and morphometric parameters were also calculated. According to the environmental conditions and measurement of morphometric parameters of the region, such as capabilities of the environment, development requirements are determined and by placing soil, fault and earthquake maps on the base map of the study area, suitable areas for future development and areas for their development. Non-sustainable development components were also identified.
Results: Environmental parameters were also identified to investigate the impact on active ecosystems. In the Ramsar coastal basin, the percentage of Development requirements is higher than the current development.  Agricultural use showed more current development in the western highlands than future development.
Conclusion:  In order to protect the forest cover in the foothills and mountainous due to suitable hydrological parameters and relative development potential for the protection of forest cover in the foothills and mountains, large-scale developments are not developed.
